We woke up to a shocking sight this morning. A tree had been blown over during the night time high winds. Miraculously it hasn't yet crashed into our house. It is, however, inches from doing so and also inches from pulling out the power line that runs from the utility pole directly into our house. The power company is supposed to come out sometime today to assess the situation (and hopefully remove the tree), but until then, we're praying it stays put!

You can see in these next two photos that the tree is partially uprooted. It appears to be balancing on branches on our rooftop.

Oh wow Andrea!
Did they come out and fix it yet? These winds were crazy. One person in our county was killed when a tree fell on top of the car she was driving in.
Yes, they came out and cut the tree down. Miraculously, there was no damage to the roof! My clothesline that I use for dyeing (which was connected to that tree) prevented it from crashing into the house! The tree guys said that had it not been tied off, it would have definitely crashed into the roof and done a lot of damage! Close call!
Wow that was a close call!!! I'm glad everything turned out well :o)
